David Michel (December 2, 1975) is a French television producer and general manager of Zodiak Kids (formerly known as Marathon Media), the largest children's TV production company in France. He is also the son of Gérard Michel, the famous Nancy lawyer who participated in the program, Sans Sans Doute.


Since 1999 after Zodiak Kids founded, David Michel is the co-creator and producer of several animated series along with Vincent Chalvon Demersay, including Totally Spies!, Martin Mystery, Team Galaxy, Monster Buster Club and The Amazing Spiez!.

Under David's tenure as General Manager of Zodiak Kids, the company grew to become a leading kids & family content producer and one of the few global players specializing in co-productions between Europe & North America. Since 2001, David has produced over 13 shows, most of them still airing internationally.


Also in 2014, he stepped down as the co-founder and general manager of Zodiak Kids. In 2014 after he had left the company, David now founded Cottonwood Media. Cottonwood creates, produces and invests in premium, talent-driven content with a focus on bringing together North American and European audiences.


Martin Mystery

In 2003 through 2006, he is the executive producer and producer of the series, and also the writer of only an episode from the first season, The Return of the Beasts.
